Traces of a train station of the bronze age were found here.In the place, probably the ancient castle of Sassoforte rised, nominated in 1146 with the church of S.Giovanni and of which the historical news are reported in the card of "S.Bartolomeo". Currently, it's visible the Villa Anna, eclectic neo-Reinassance style. The facade is three-parted with wing slightly protruding compared to the middle, where a beautiful colonnade with arched lights opens. The base has slightly the shape of a shoe; the lights, mullioned, are regular and symmetrically distributed. An attic framing, in shelves, runs around while a battlement crowns the west wing of the building. Recently, it has been restored and assigned as an activity of reception and food service.
