At the beginning of the XVII century the locality was indicated with the toponym of the "Saldine". In the frame of the attic of the ancient rustic building, on the edge of Via Emilia, is visible a coat of arms frescoed, now worn out, probably seventeenth century. It’s been demolished in recent years.
