In front of the church was found a slab of Roman inscription (1). The Hospice Church was built in 1769 on a previous chapel dedicated to St. Francis of Paola, whose dedication he kept. Between 1815 and 1839 it was rebuilt from the foundations possibly designed by Geremia Manzini (2). The rectory is built in 1878. In 1906 the facade was completed on a project by Eng. Carlo Parmeggiani; in 1920 a restoration was carried out (3). The church has a two-party hut facade, with upper frontispiece, marked by light pilasters and oriented to the afternoon.Near the church there was a Palace and a house of the Minim Fathers of St. Francis of Paola, who in 1695 had erected a convent under the title of the Angels; there was also an oratory attached, along the Via Emilia, with the facade facing evening. Having moved the Fathers to the city in 1696, the place was sold in 1716 to the Seminary of which it remained in property until 1867 after which it passed to the Azzali (4).
