This is one of the most significant XV century abodes of Reggio, it was wanted by Francesco da Mosto, high ducal official. The main facade is on the west side, where there is the entrance, marked by a round sandstone gate. Originally, the facade was decorated by mullioned windows, single or coupled, today replaced by more anonimous, rectangular windows that date back to the beginning of the XIX century. The beautiful cornice, that crowns the facade, appears rather deteriorated. As a whole, the palace was affected by the many renovations, but it preserves obvious traces of the influence of the Este's architect Biagio Rossetti, that handled another house of the da Mosto familty in Ferrara.
